She furrowed her brow in thought before taking another step closer and sliding a hand on his chest. She tapped her fingers gently over where his heart would be and looked up at him. “A servant…? I wouldn’t have thought a demon would be a servant. How interesting. Demons give me the idea of master.” She tilted her head back and laughed. “Well, what would you be willing to offer?”
Looking down at her he thinned his eyes. Smiling kindly as he could.
“Now you’ve learned a new lessons. In any race or world there is always someone who plays the role of servant..and in my case, is guilty of a pact.”
He ran a hand through his hair, relaxing his shoulders.
“What can I offer ? Oh, Miss. I’ve already said it. I’m a demon, nothing will surprise me at all. I’ve lived for centuries…can scare me a request from you ?”
Her smile faltered a bit and she bit her lip in thought. “I’m sorry… if I, you know, hit a soft spot or upset you. I guess I should learn to keep my mouth shut about such things, no?” She looked up at him carefully and shrugged. “I wouldn’t feel right about asking anything of you over a simple mug of tea. Please, don’t feel the need to repay me.” She smirked, “I must say, you are such a gentleman. You don’t meet a lot of those these days.”
Turn his eyes on her frowning.
“Miss, what makes you think such a thing ? I’ve nothing against you. You’re a kind and lovely girl.”
He took her hand, putting her close to his cheek. A bright smile appear on his troubled expression.
“It’s not your fault at all. I’m just a tormented soul, always in conflict with myself. So, I would be glad to accomplish your request. I don’t like to being in debt with someone. Even if it was something stupid, like jumping on one leg dressed as a chicken.”
He laughed a bit, still looking at her.
